Los Angeles based artist collective BRAIN DEAD unveils a new eye-catching project. After recent collaborations with iconic brands such as Vans, Sergio Tacchini and Asics, Kyle Ng and his team have come up with a collection designed with the legendary label DICKIES.
This new opus celebrates the opening of the new permanent BRAIN DEAD FABRICATIONS SILVERLAKE site imagined in partnership with DICKIES in 2021.
This first-ever collection reinvents DICKIES’ signature pieces in a bold, innovative BRAIN DEAD spirit.
Kyle Ng, co-founder and creative director of Brain Dead, said of the collab : « Dickies has always been an inspiration to us because of its universality. Kids of all ages associate their Dickies clothing with their own culture, whether it’s skateboarding, music or art. It’s not just a product. It’s a web that cultures from many countries weave in their own way. For us, it is an excellent mode of artistic communication. »

Brain dead has brought a funky touch to the Eisenhower jacket, the 874 Original workwear pants, t-shirts and two-tone sweatshirts. These items come in bright green, orange, blue and purple colors, and feature illustrated BRAIN DEAD branding. The capsule also includes denim button-down jackets, straight jeans, wide-leg canvas pants and caps. Available in blue or white, these pieces are adorned with faded details or paint splatter patterns, respectively. The look is completed with branded badges and playful illustrations. A pair of striped co-branded baggy jeans finalizes the collection.
The Brain Dead x Dickies collection was released exclusively on September 23, 2022 at the DICKIES FABRICATIONS opening night before being available since September 27, 2022, in stores and online at partners wearebraindead.com and dickieslife.com. Prices range from $55 to $250. Let’s go !
