For its new collaborative offering, the famous Boston-based shop BODEGA has teamed up with an equally popular boutique, BEAMS, to reinvent iconic ADIDAS models, the CAMPUS and ADIMATIC.
This triple collaboration merges the inspirations of BODEGA with the Japanese influences of BEAMS. The 2 partners chose to remodel the silhouettes of the 3 stripes brand in an updated Ivy style.
This lifestyle-chic ‘Ivy’ look dates back to the 1950s, when former American soldiers were able to enter Ivy League colleges (the 8 most prestigious American universities, all located on the East Coast) and created a new style by mixing elegant school clothes with military pieces, especially the chino pants.
The adidas CAMPUS reimagined by Bodega and Beams represents the chic side. It consists of a premium grey suede upper, accompanied by white or black 3-Stripes depending on the side of the foot. The stylish look is affirmed by a black heel tab, an emerald green co-branded insole and lining and gold branding details, such as ‘BODEGA’ and ‘BEAMS’ embroidered between the side stripes. An all-white sole harmoniously finishes the design.
Bolder and more nostalgic, the reworked adidas ADIMATIC features a grey suede upper, contrasted by green elements such as the 3-Stripes on the side, the tongue tag with the names of the 3 partners and branding details on the insole and heel. This model retains its skateshoe look with oversized white laces and a soft, padded white collar. The whole is based on a white midsole coupled with a sturdy gum outsole.
To accompany these revisited adidas sneakers, BODEGA and BEAMS have created a capsule of co-branded apparel also inspired by Ivy.
The 2 iconic shops offer us a complete schoolboy outfit : a navy blue suit jacket, a light blue shirt with a BEAMS x BODEGA patch sewn on the front pocket, beige chino pants and a very chic navy/green/gold striped tie. BODEGA and BEAMS also designed a varsity sports outfit with 2 styles of t-shirts, one white and one navy blue, with their names emblazoned on the chest, and a grey mottled fleece crewneck and pant set. A cap and socks are also offered.
The Bodega x Beams x Adidas collection will be released on March 10, 2023 on the Boston-based shop bdgstore.com on a first come, first served basis. The BODEGA x BEAMS apparel collection will be available online, as well as at BODEGA stores in Boston and Los Angeles. Be ready !
