A few days ago, the Japanese streetwear brand BAPE presented its first collaboration with the American manufacturer New Balance (article available HERE). Continuing its momentum, the label founded by Nigo unveils a playful collaborative collection featuring the famous cartoon duo « Tom and Jerry ».
The collection was developed to celebrate the launch of the new film « Tom & Jerry : The Movie » on March 19, 2021 in Japan.
The capsule includes a wide range of short sleeve t-shirts. These garments appear in solid colors, black or white, or entirely covered with BAPE’s signature camo pattern. The plain pieces are embellished with colorful and fun graphics by Tom and Jerry. Some also feature Baby Milo and the Bape Head appearing in cheese for the occasion. The camo pattern is found in different dosages on each item. The design of the camo t-shirt is completed by a succession of prints by Tom and Jerry referring to the main activity of the two characters : the unlucky cat chasing the mocking mouse. In addition to the t-shirts, this collection includes hoodies and crewnecks, in black or white and embellished with Tom & Jerry and BAPE signature graphics. Embroidered Tom & Jerry Baby Milo-style caps, a camo bandana matching the t-shirt and stickers complete the collection.
The BAPE x Tom and Jerry collection will be released on March 13, 2021 in selected BAPE stores and online at bape.com, in all family sizes. Don’t sleep !
