The Californian retailer BAIT starts the year 2022 by presenting a new part of its collaboration with ADIDAS CONSORTIUM. After having honored the anime Cowboy Bebop a few months ago (article available HERE), the 2 partners pay tribute to the famous arcade and video game STREET FIGHTER through an exclusive collection.
This collaborative capsule focuses on the iconic characters of the game : Ryu, E.Honda, Chun Li and Dhalsim. The first 2 are represented on the Ozweego silhouette and the last 2 on the adidas Lexicon.
Each of these 4 pairs of sneakers features iconic details taken from the fighter it illustrates. They consist of an upper combining the iconic colors and prints of their respective characters.
The Ozweego Ryu consists of a white base with black and red accents, while the E.Honda version has a bolder look with its red print and blue stripes.
The Lexicon Chun-Li appears in blue with yellow embroidery, a print on the side insert and white stitching. The iteration dedicated to Dhalsim has its black base covered in an orange flame pattern with yellow and red stripes. Beads and skull charms are threaded through the black laces.
All sneakers are adorned with co-branding on the tongue and have insole with an illustration of the fighter they represent.
This footwear collection is accompanied by matching collaborative textile items. We find short and long sleeve t-shirts, in white, black, beige or brown and decorated with one of the Street Fighter characters. A black hoodie uniting all the fighters is also proposed.
This BAIT x Street Fighter x adidas Consortium collection is available for pre-order on the shop website baitme.com. It will be delivered at the end of January 2022. Prices are set at 140$ per model and sizesrun US 5 to US 14.
