The iconic Japanese brand ASCICS is always looking for innovation to enrich its sneaker range. Last January, the sportswear label teamed up with designer Angelo Baque to create a new silhouette, the GEL-NYC. After the success of the first 2 collaborative colorways, ASICS takes this silhouette to include it in its Spring / Summer 2023 collection.
This new model appeared in 7 colorways for the upcoming spring season. Most of them are dressed in neutral and timeless colors : White/Navy Blue, White/Black/Sage Green, White/Grey, White/Beige, Black/Beige, Charcoal Grey/Black, Black/Beige and one a little bit more daring : White/Pink/Blue.
These shoes feature a technical mesh upper, complemented by suede and leather overlays. To add a touch of brightness and reference the brand’s running origins, all versions feature silver-grey inserts. Two-material Tigers Stripes (suede/leather) and ASICS branding details on the tongue and side heel complete the look. The whole is based on a midsole in 2 shades of GEL technology and an outsole matching another color on the upper.
