In addition to offering us rare products from major streetwear brands and its own collections, ATMOS continues to be at the top of high-end collaborations. The famous Tokyo shop presents its 3rd project “Tokyo Essential” designed with COLE HAAN, a high-end label from Chicago.
For almost 100 years, COLE HAAN has been developing hybrid street shoes as a pioneering performance lifestyle brand.
After launching the collaborative 2-part “Lux Crib” collection a month ago, the partners are reuniting for a third revamped model, the “ØriginalGrand Longwing Oxford” named “Tokyo Essential”. The silhouette, which appeals to both serious workers and partygoers, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
The timelessly designed dress shoe is adorned with unique design elements by ATMOS to achieve an eye-catching, preppy rock look. It represents the street style of Tokyo, an atmosphere that the Harajuku shop knows well.
This pair features a simple design from the upper to the outsole with its black color. Made from different materials, it consists of an upper combining glossy black handcrafted leather and matching matte nubuck leather. We find the pointed toe and the iconic perforation patterns of the model present on the toe box and the outlines of the overlays. The most important feature of this collab, is the fringed yoke and the pompom above the tongue became detachable to make the model cooler. This design choice allows you to change the way you wear the shoe depending on the style and the occasion. In addition to being stylish and trendy, this “Tokyo Essential” is also light and comfortable. It features a molded insole for added cushioning, an EVA midsole and rubber studs under the foot for added traction. Tongue and heel pulls and thin round waxed laces finish the look.
The COLE HAAN × atmos “Tokyo Essential” will be released on April 1, 2023 for ¥40,700 ($307) via a raffle available HERE. Good luck!
