The famous Hong Kong brand CLOT continues to celebrate its 20th anniversary through qualitative collaborations. After teaming up with Levi’s earlier this month, Edison Chen and his team are teaming up for the first time with legendary outdoor brand THE NORTH FACE (TNF).

The two partners present a collection inspired by Mother Earth with the slogan “colored by nature, inspired by exploration”. These exclusive pieces combine the worlds of the brands, design and functionality.
Edison Chen, CLOT’s founder and creative director said of the collab : “The person I am hasn’t really changed over time, but my curiosities have, which gives me a sense of accomplishment. My mindset is really about exploration. Allowing myself to see new things, allowing myself to experience clouds, sunsets and sunrises, is a story I’ve never told. I feel like The North Face was the perfect channel for that story to be expressed.”
The collection is built around functional and comfortable clothing reinvented with soft, pastel or bright colors that evoke the elements of nature, such as grass, trees, water, clouds and the shades of sunsets. The CLOT brand reflected nature’s captivating landscapes on TNF outdoor pieces made from innovative and technical materials. The Hong Kong-based brand’s founder invited his close friend and frequent collaborator, Kazuki Kuraishhi, to participate in the development of the pieces, bringing his wealth of fashion knowledge to push the boundaries of outdoor clothing.
Kazuki Kuraishhi commented : “When I design, I normally think about the details first. I don’t think too much about the concept, but Edison does. That’s why we work together. I always think of a good design as it is, but even a beautiful design needs good functionality.”
Among the standout pieces, the CLOT x The North Face Shell jacket assisted by DRYVENT technology and the waterproof poncho equipped with adjustable hidden buttons catch the eye. We also find also fleece sweaters with detachable hood and Chinese knot buttons, matching pants, shorts and a Shell sweater with detachable hood.
The partners offer a range of accessories including bags, caps, and hats that match the color codes of the clothes. To complete the outfit, a pair of ThermoBall mules and TNF hiking boots with VECTIV and FUTURELIGHT technology were included in the capsule.
CLOT and THE NORTH FACE also thought about family walks and vacations by designing a line of children’s apparel, from Shell jackets to fleece pants and sweaters.
The CLOT x The North Face collection will be available in JUICE stores and online at starting February 23, 2023, before a wider release on February 24, 2023 via Don’t sleep!
