After several rumors, the famous Hong Kong label CLOT officializes its next collaboration with the Swoosh brand by giving a first look at the legendary NIKE Cortez revisited. This iconic model, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, appears in a two-tone white/black makeup, just like the CLOT x Converse revisited « Panda pack » released last month.
This new collaborative offer also seems to pay tribute to the giant panda, the official animal of China. A great national pride, this animal is a representation of peace, harmony and friendship in CLOT’s home country.
Thanks to the unique photo posted, we discover that Edison Chen and his team have reworked the classic Cortez White/Black colorway with significant modifications.
In a horizontal design, the smooth white leather base appears covered in a black neoprene shroud that stops at the lacing system and recalls a rugged protection. The black Swoosh on the upper opts for the reverse color, white, on the shroud. This gives it an original and exclusive look. To complete the special style, the laces retain their traditional white color and the iconic notched sole is presented in white with a black horizontal line. The pair is expected to feature co-branding on different parts of the foot, such as the tongue and insole for example.
In addition to the « White/Black » colorway presented today, 2 other iterations : « Black Varsity Maize » and « Forrest Gump » are expected to make up this exclusive CLOT x NIKE Cortez pack.
The CLOT x Nike Cortez « White/Black » will be released on February 10th 2023 in JUICE stores for $150 and will arrive later on nike.com. The 2 other colors should be presented soon, stay tuned !
