The iconic CLOT brand continues to celebrate its 20 years of existence through original and attractive collabs. While a new Dunk Low imagined in triple collaboration with Nike and Fragment Design is in the works, Edison Chen presents an exclusive capsule designed with McDonald’s China called CLOT x McSpicy.
This new collection marries CLOT‘s streetwear aesthetic with the fast food chain’s universe.
Edison Chen brought his touch to the packaging of the great classics of McDonald’s China, but also to the uniforms of the staff of these restaurants.
These include burger wrappers, nugget buckets, tray sets, glasses, ice cream cups and tote bags featuring CLOT’s iconic ‘Silk Royale’ pattern, 20th Anniversary Edition. Some of the staff’s attire is also revisited and adorned with the Hong Kong fashion brand’s historic and geometric patterns, including hoodies, t-shirts and caps.
These items retain McDonald’s signature red color, paired with black or white, in various dosages, as well as yellow that references the restaurant chain’s famous ‘M’ logo. Bold illustrations and a subtle CLOT logo complete the look and make a statement.
The CLOT x McSpicy capsule will be launched in more than 5,000 McDonald’s outlets across mainland China and McDonald’s China Tmall starting March 16, 2023. To celebrate the collaboration, the partners have also held preview pop-ups in several major Chinese cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
