Clarks Originals and Bodega have partnered for the first time to offer us a first collaboration on the Wallabee Boot emblematic silhouette. A project made up of two colours designed as a unified vector.
Indeed, one of the unique aspects of the Clarks Originals Wallabee is its ability to transcend social and cultural boundaries and involve a wide range of demographic data, which is also true for Bodega.
Following the popularity of the Clarks Originals Desert Boot among rudeboys and Jamaican artists in the 60s, this latter became cult in Jamaica. In the 80s, immigrants from Jamaica to New York have enabled the Wallabee to become a key part of the rap scene.
Inspired by the historical connection, Bodega started this project with a kick-off event in Los Angeles, showcasing the local Jamaican food and Reggae/Dancehall sound system : Shabbaaaaa.
Consist of nubuck and suede, this collaboration reinforce the idea that different styles, materials and textures come together to create something unified, resulting in a very original product.
