American giant NIKE continues to expand its already extensive line of Dunk Lows. While the bold and mysterious version designed in collaboration with CPFM should be released soon (article available HERE), a more traditional iteration has been unveiled. The Swoosh brand partnered with Clark Atlanta University (CAU) to come up with a special Dunk Low.
The hyper-popular silhouette gets dressed up in CAU Athletics colors.
Featuring a mismatched look, this exclusive Dunk Low consists of a black leather upper with pearl grey overlays for the right foot, and a pearl grey leather upper with black overlays for the left foot.
On both shoes, the other elements appear similar in color, like the tongue is white with a special logo tag « Panthers ». The side Swoosh, the inner lining, as well as the thin yoke around the foot and positioned above the sole, have a beautiful bright red color. The white heel tab is adorned with red « 1988 » embroidery, which references the year Clark College merged with Atlanta University to form Clark Atlanta University (CAU). In a meticulous spirit, the laces feature a « FIND A WAY OR MAKE ONE » print, the school’s motto, and the Panthers logo is also emblazoned under the semi-translucent outsole. A white midsole adds the final harmonious touch to the design.
The CAU Athletics x Nike Dunk Low will be released in the coming weeks at select retailers and nike.com for a price around $110.
