The iconic brand CARHARTT WIP regularly offers us eye-catching collabs. After teaming up with INVINCIBLE earlier this month, the legendary workwear label reunites with AWAKE NY to celebrate the arrival of spring through an exclusive 8-piece capsule.
This new collaborative collection follows the natural evolution of a long-standing friendship between the 2 iconic labels.
Angelo Baque applied his signature prints to the workwear leader’s rugged silhouettes.
The capsule consists of legendary pieces made from Carhartt WIP‘s special Dearborn canvas as well as knitwear with a cosy-chic look.
These include the OG Active Jacket and the Double Knee Pant featuring an eye-catching floral pattern from AWAKE NY. The hoodie and Teddy Jacket also appear with this special graphic. The black or green/white varsity look jacket features graphic patches, embroidered co-branding and various inscriptions like “World Champs Back 2 Back” on the back. This slogan also stands out on the back of the short-sleeved shirt available in 4 colors, black, white, green and turquoise blue. The shirt is also offered in these 4 attractive colorways. The knitted vest, in hamilton brown or black, is adorned with a Carhartt tag on the chest and the AWAKE NY logo in oversize on the back. To complete the outfit, the partners also reimagined the famous Carthartt beanie by adorning it with the special co-branding and the affectionate words “Un Amor”.
The campaign that accompanies the collection was conceived by creative director Alastair McKimm and shot by renowned fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti. To bring this collaborative pieces to life, Awake NY called upon its creative community that includes the likes of Raul Lopez, Jon Gray, Nevaskimp, Fatima B, Annette Cruz, Ray Morales, Victor Vegas, with an extra bonus : legendary New York rapper Rakim.
