The legendary CARHARTT WIP brand is renowned for its rugged, stylish products. Now, in March 2024, it’s preparing us for the warm weather with the launch of new arrivals from its Spring-Summer 2024 collection. Named “Field & craft”, this new capsule was unveiled last month in the label’s campaign.
“The second Spring/Summer 2024 delivery is a contrast of scenes and silhouettes, with utilitarian layers and reworked polycotton classics blending into Sydney’s sprawling, ever-changing landscapes.”
This latest opus consists of contemporary items with retro designs inspired by the 60s. They appear in evocative hues such as deep or light brown, beige, steel blue, khaki green or with stripes.
The capsule includes the Module Script embroidered jacket, based on the classic Harrington silhouette, the Kendricks L/S knit polo, the Craft S/S pants, the Unity pants and matching jacket, Madock pieces : parka, jacket and pants, as well as shorts, hoodies and shirts.
For women, Carhartt also offers the Otley bomber, inspired by the classic MA-1 jacket, and the Jet Cargo skirt in the silhouette of rrun cargo pants.
Made from robust, durable materials, these pieces boast an eye-catching look that marries retro design with a modern loose fit.
To highlight these garments, Carhartt WIP called on photographer Jesse Lizotte, who lives between Sydney and New York. Lizotte is known for his intimate portraiture style. He has photographed special populations around the world, such as the Japanese Yakuza and the Los Angeles Lowriders.
