As the summer season approaches, CARHARTT WIP brings us a selection of eye-catching pieces. Following a collaboration with iconic label AWAKE NY, the famous workwear brand unveils its brand-new “Detour” collection.
The capsule features a wide range of summer essentials, from colorful swim shorts to folding chairs adorned with Lumen flower-inspired prints.
To create a playful yet refined summer style, classic products have been reinterpreted. These include the tropical Tamas motif applied to a flowing poplin shirt, a women’s shirt and shorts set and a pair of designer beach rackets. The Sumor S/S shirt for men offers a simpler but effective version of all-over prints. The S/S Wynton shirt evokes Carhartt’s utilitarian universe, while the Marine items recall the fun aesthetic of the 90s. The range also includes an assortment of graphic t-shirts and shorts in various cuts, short- and long-sleeved shirts and headwear. Accessories include patterned socks, a water bottle and a picnic blanket.
To bring these special pieces to life, CARHARTT WIP called on photographer Pablo Escudero. The artist went off the beaten track and came through the vast green plains and coastal expanses of the South-West French town of Biarritz.
