The famous and popular adidas Forum ’84 continues to come in various versions and serve as the basis for exclusive collaborations. While Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny just introduced a new colorway of his Forum Buckle Low (article available HERE), German shop BSTN unveils a collaborative pack paying tribute to the European heritage of basketball.
These revisited Forums ’84 High and Low are part of the European Basketball Heritage Serie of the famous Munich-based store. Through this project, BSTN is highlighting unique local cultures and paying tribute to the people who played an integral role in their creation.
This pack of Forums is inspired by 2 powerhouses of European basketball history, Panathinaikos BC and Jugoplastika Split. The 1st team is the most decorated in Europe and 6 times EuroLeague champion. The 2nd is the only team to have won the 1st European competition 3 years in a row.
These pairs are adorned with many details and hidden messages evoking these awards.
The Forum Low collaborative comes in shades of white and light grey with touches of green. It consists of a premium suede upper, complete with 3-Stripes and a furry suede heel reinforcement. Embroidered with 6 stars representing the 6 EuroLeague titles, the pair features Panathinaikos BC logo under the ankle, BSTN branding on the tongue tag and the Greek team name on the iconic strap, all in green. The co-branded insole, inner lining and heel clip are also featured in this hue to ensure a harmonious design. The whole is based on a white midsole and a milky semi-translucent outsole.
The special Forum High is dressed in the characteristic yellow and black colors of the Croatian club Jugoplastika Split, called KK Split nowadays. It consists of a white leather base with black colored elements such as the tongue, 3-Stripes, collar, inner lining and heel clip. The team tribute is provided by a yellow heel overlay and inner tongue face, as well as JUGOPLASTIKA emblazoned in black under the ankle and 8990 on the heel pull. The tongue tags feature adidas branding on one foot and the BSTN logo on the other. The whole is based on a yellowed midsole and a vintage gum outsole.
The BSTN x adidas Forum ’84 Low & High will be released exclusively at BSTN, adidas Athens and Split stores, and adidas confirmed app on May 7 for the Low version and May 21, 2022 for the High. They will then be launched globally on May 14 and May 28, 2022 respectively at selected retailers. Be ready !
