The BODEGA streetwear shop has acquired a solid reputation in the world of sneakers, thanks to numerous collaborations with major brands. Always very active, the American retailer is once again teaming up with its neighbour NEW BALANCE to offer us a 100% Boston collaboration, based on the X-Racer silhouette.
The X-Racer is a hybrid lifestyle model inspired by the running shoes of the late 90s. For the design of this collaborative pair, Bodega’s teams decided to tone down the lifestyle aspect in favour of a look closer to outdoor and trail sneakers. This shoe is designed with ultra-technical materials.
The pair consists of a dark brown ballistic mesh upper with beige suede and black reinforced synthetic overlays. On the back side of the shoe, we find a dark green bumpy textured reinforcement and a solid black triangular laces flap. To accentuate the retro hiking design, touches of pink, purple and teal are found on the branding, tongue and lining respectively. The emblematic N logo is dressed in bright pink on one side of the shoe and appears sewn with a dark brown ribbon on the other. The whole is based on a high-performance cream/speckled grey Abzorb midsole and a black trail-style outsole with touches of teal.
