Founded by NIGO in 1993, BAPE celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. 2023 also marks another important thing for this iconic label : the 20th anniversary of its very first collaboration with the German giant ADIDAS. To celebrate this double event, the iconic Japanese streetwear brand has once again teamed up with the sportswear specialist to design an exclusive Campus 80s.
After starting to reimagine the famous Superstar 2 years ago, BAPE is tackling another classic from the German leader, the CAMPUS 80s.
This special version has a simple and effective look. It consists of a navy blue suede upper, contrasted by white branding details on the panels, in this case the Bape Star and Three Stipes on each side. These inserts are positioned in reverse on each foot. To celebrate the anniversary of the store’s launch, ’30’ appears in tone on tone at the top of the navy blue tongue and other details are featured in gold, including ‘BAPE’ dubrae, applied logos on the white leather heel tabs and ‘A BATHING APE’ branding engraved under the side Bape Star. A navy leather inner lining and yellowed sole seamlessly finalize the retro-chic look of this collaborative pair.
The shoe will be delivered in a co-branded blue and white/silver box and slipped into a color-coordinated shoe bag featuring the Bape head logo.
The BAPE x adidas Campus 80s will be released on April 1, 2023 for €150 via an open raffle on the adidas CONFIRMED app. Good luck !
