A year ago, Reebok and the BAIT brand announced a collaboration with Disney Pixar. A promotional sample was presented to us. It combined the Instapump Fury silhouette and the emblematic characters from the animated film Toy Story : Buzz Lightyear and Woody the Cowboy. Today, the release of this audacious collaboration is confirmed.
This pair consists of two mismatched shoes, one inspired by Buzz’s look and the other by Woody’s style.
The left shoe represents Buzz. It is dressed in a color palette that reflects the Space Ranger uniform. It has a white base with purple and fluorescent green inserts. The iconic inflation membrane on the tongue brings a touch of red. Black and yellow stripes, as well as white and red, complete the design. Details include the initials SR (Space Rager) on the back of the heel. The whole is based on a white and grey midsole combined with a purple outsole.
The right shoe identifies with Woody. It has a range of colours reminiscent of cowboy outfits. It consists of a blue upper with yellow overlays. The sides panels are covered with the cowhide pattern and the inner lining has the yellow and red print of the famous cowboy’s shirt. The visible inflation membrane on the tongue is more discreet on this shoe, it’s in white colour. On the back of the heel, we discover the golden sheriff’s star. The whole is based on a white midsole and a light brown-orange outsole.
Alongside this pair, a collection of t-shirts inspired by the two sidekicks Buzz and Woody will be proposed.
To finalize the spirit of this collaboration, the shoes will not be delivered in a box but in a typical toy packaging.
The BAIT x Toy Story x Reebok Instapump Fury will be released on June 13, 2020, exclusively at BAIT via an online draw for which registration is already open, and in Japanese BAIT stores in Shibuya and Osaka.
The pair will be priced at 200€.
