California-based retailer BAIT unveils a new collaboration with ADIDAS Consortium featuring anime series. After a Montreal 76 « One Punch Man » released in June, the 2 partners have teamed up with the famous 90’s anime COWBOY BEBOP to reinterpret the Match Play silhouette.
The adidas Match Play was originally called the Arthur Ashe. It was the signature shoe of the legendary and late tennis player of the same name.
This exclusive version is inspired by the outfits of the Cowboy Bebop characters. Essentially black in color, it consists of a leather upper enhanced by yellow or green branding on the tongue and white on the side heel. A blue heel tab on one foot and red on the other adds an extra touch of bright color. A black inner lining and all-black sole complete the look. To ensure the best matchings, the pair comes with 3 sets of laces : black, green and neon yellow.
To accompany this shoe, a collaborative apparel capsule was designed. It includes a hoodie, a t-shirt and a hat.
The BAIT x Cowboy Bebop x adidas Consortium Match Play will be released on September 18, 2021 in stores and online via an open raffle on the shop baitme.com. The price is set at 120$ and sizesrun US 5 to US 14.
