After having ended the year 2020 by proposing us a bold collaboration with Asics (article available HERE), Angelo Baque’s brand AWAKE NY is teaming up with its regular partner Reebok at the beginning of 2021. This time, the streetwear label was interested in the classic silhouettes of the British manufacturer : the Club C and the Classic Leather.
At first glance, the two pairs seem to present a design quite close to the usually accessible versions. But a closer look reveals subtle details.
The two silhouettes, with a rather tonal style, consist of a cream-colored leather upper. This base is enhanced by blue accents in the brandings, such as the name AWAKE on the heel and tongue label, and Reebok on the quarter panel. A nice touch of originality is provided by the vector logos, the laceguard and the heel tab with a discreet and elegant snakeskin pattern in a cream color. A cream insole with blue co-branding, cream laces and a comfortable tone-on-tone inner lining complete the look. To finalize the design, the whole is based on full cream soles.
