Japanese fashion house AURALEE unveiled a new collaboration with NEW BALANCE at the presentation of its Spring/Summer 2022 collection. After bringing its touch to the popular vintage silhouette NB550 (article available HERE), the label of designer Ryota Iwai reinterprets the iconic NB2002R.
This very popular silhouette is available in 2 neutral and elegant colorways.
One comes tinted in pearl grey with pale yellow overlays, and the other in a classic white combination with a touch of beige on the heel.
As for the construction, these shoes consist of a mesh upper with suede overlays. The iconic side N logo stands out in a discreet and elegant way, and the New Balance branding traditionally adorns the tongue. The AURALEE branding is only on the insole. To ensure a harmonious design and optimal comfort, the whole is based on a powerful white midsole coupled with a contrasting colored studded outsole. It appears in yellow for the white pair, and black for the yellow iteration.
The AURALEE x New Balance 2002R will be released in late 2021 or early 2022, along with the entire Spring/Summer 2022 collection, at select retailers. More info to come, stay tuned !
