After having reworked together the NB X-Racer Utility silhouette at the end of November 2020 (article available HERE), ATMOS and STAPLE PIGEON have teamed up to revisit the legendary PUMA Suede.
Unveiled by Koji, the creative director of ATMOS, the shoe takes up the color palette seen in the previous collaboration and also reminds us of the Staple x Puma Clyde released in 2013. This sneaker adopts a design that pays homage to the universe of Staple’s and Atmos’ hometowns, New York and Tokyo respectively.
It consists of a classic beige suede upper, complemented by a grey suede laceguard and a black hairy suede heel overlay. The pigeon, STAPLE’s signature and symbol of New York, and a black crow are embroidered on each side of the heel reinforcement. The Puma side stripe appears in dark brown leather, while on the medial side, this black suede stripe is adorned with a green sheen, which may refer to the birds’ plumage. Touches of pink, especially on the inner lining, triple branding details and insole, complete the design. To affirm the neatness of the pair, the grey laces are embellished with aglets with the ATMOS inscription. An all dark grey sole finalises the look.
The Atmos x Staple Pigeon x Puma Suede « Pigeon and Crow » will be released on February 27, 2021, for a price of 95€, on the website of the Japanese brand atmos-tokyo.com via a raffle whose registrations will be possible from February 24, 2021.
