The famous Japanese shop ATMOS is known for its eye-catching collections and innovative collabs. After reworking the famous NB 2002R and reinventing the Crocs Clog with Grip Swany, the brand founded by Hommyo Hidefumi more than 20 years ago presents a capsule designed with the Japanese brand specialized in down, NANGA.
The name of the brand NANGA refers to « Nanga Parbat », the 9th highest peak in the world, nicknamed the « killer mountain », which is part of the Himalayan range.
Founded in 1941 by Akira Yokora, NANGA develops products capable of withstanding the most difficult climatic conditions, while paying great attention to details and the quality of materials. The company manufactures sleeping bags, technical clothing including down jackets of high quality.
To start this collaboration, Atmos has brought its unique touch to a style of down jacket from the NANGA brand : the Aurora Stand Collar Down Parka.
The pattern, the color, the design and the details have all been carefully studied. This down jacket comes in 3 colorways : Navy/Electric Blue, Black and Beige.
It’s made of a shiny nylon fabric with a waterproof porous polyurethane coating using « Aurora Tex » which has a high level of waterproof and breathable properties. A nice touch of style is provided by the inner lining in a different color from the outer nylon. To affirm the collab, the ATMOS silicon logo badge adorns the left chest and the reflective NANGA 760 FILL branding is affixed to the bottom right sleeve. A stand-up collar and large front patch pockets confirm the streetwear look of this technical jacket.
The atmos x NANGA Aurora stand Collar Down Parka trio will be released on November 5, 2022 in stores and online, via a raffle set up on the atmos website. The price is set at 300$ (¥44,000) per model and the proposed sizes are M, L and XL.
