Alongside the adidas Orignals for ATMOS SST « DENIM » (article available HERE), the famous Japanese shop presents its first collaboration with the legendary British brand Dr. Martens. Atmos has brought its touch to two iconic silhouettes : the low top shoe « 1461 » and the boot « Combs Tech ».
This collaboration transcends existing boundaries by combining the two partners’ distinct worlds. The robust design is complemented by a casual style.
Both silhouettes retain their high functionality, durability and signature Dr. Martens elements, while being adorned with specific Atmos accents such as the bold blue and pink colors (for the Atmos and Atmos PINK sites respectively). These colors are found on the two-tone laces, black-pink or black-blue depending on the foot. The iconic « Air Wair » heel pulls appear oversized and a white clock with the names of the principal cities, including those where the ATMOS store is located, adorns the side heel. Each model retains the iconic yellow stitching on the top of the sole that provides the unique Dr. Martens touch.
The « 1461 » shoe consists of an all-black smooth signature leather upper with the famous 3 black metal lace eyelets. Innovative details such as the foam-lined tongue, colorful mismatched laces, and large heel pulls that extend down to the sole in bold pink-yellow or blue-yellow colors add flair to the pair. The whole is based on the iconic air-cushioned sole with a raw, translucent look.
The « Combs Tech » boot features a soft black leather base with matching recycled Super Knit, a durable and hard-wearing textile. The pink-yellow woven stripe on one foot and blue-yellow on the other is found on the oversized tongue of this silhouette. The tongue is also embellished with a large co-branding on a white background. The technical shoe features 8 black lace eyelets reminiscent of hiking boots. The design is finalized with a removable black buckle ankle strap and a transparent yellowed air cushion sole.
The atmos x Dr. Martens « 1461 » & « Combs Tech » will be released on April 17, 2021 at the atmos Sendagaya and atmos pink Harajuku stores, as well as online via a raffle on atmos-tokyo.com and atmos-pink.com. These products will also be available in some Dr. Martens shops and on drmartens.com. Prices are set at 230$ for the « 1461 » and 180$ for the « COMBS TECH », sizesrun from UK 3 to UK 9 (US 5 to US 10).
