Back in October 2020, Japanese reference shop ATMOS had offered us an interesting and bold interpretation of the iconic InstaPump Fury silhouette, named « Citron Animal » (article available HERE). Today, the store led by the talented designer Koji presents us a new version designed with Reebok and the popular cat-robot Doraemon from the eponymous manga series created by Fujiko Fujio.
Four years ago, atmos had already reimagined an InstaPump Fury with Packer Shoes featuring the famous manga character Doraemon. This new collaboration, solely with Reebok, features updates from the 2017 model. These modernizations are found in particular at the level of the insole embellished with logo and by the addition of a new colorway : Black/White.
The pair is therefore offered in 2 color options : blue/white/pink and black/white.
This shoe retains its faux fur upper, as on the previous version, with tone-on-tone overlays and a touch of white on the tongue. The bright yellow Pump button is adorned with a design that mimics the bell hanging from the collar of the robot cat character Doraemon. A four-dimensional pocket on the heel and illustration on the insole complete the look. Reebok branding appears in contrasting color on the mid-tongue and the white tongue and heel pulls are adorned with branding details. The whole is based on the legendary two-piece white midsole, combined with a pink outsole for the blue pair and a water green one for the black version.
This collaboration will also be released in a children’s model Versa Pump Fury. The design will largely match the adult silhouettes.
Already offered at the atmos con Vol.8, the atmos x Doraemon x Reebok Insta Pump Fury and Versa Pump Fury in 2 colorways will be released on April 3, 2021 at ATMOS stores and will be available online via a raffle set up at atmos-tokyo.com starting March 31, 2021. Prices are set at 160$ for the InstaPump Fury and 50$ for the Versa Pump Fury.
