The famous Japanese shop ATMOS spreads the Japanese culture all over the world through exclusive collections and innovative collabs. After teaming up with Albino & Preto last month, the Harajuku boutique unveils a collection named « LUX CRIB » designed with the prestigious American brand COLE HAAN.
Since its creation in 1928 in Chicago by Trafton Cole and Eddie Haan, the COLE HAAN brand offers high-end and innovative products. Beginning with men’s shoes, Cole Haan has diversified into women’s footwear, as well as clothing and accessories with a focus on comfort and design. Celebrities such as the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and Prince Harry have been seen wearing the brand’s silhouettes.
All Cole Haan shoes use Grand.OS (or Grand Foam) technology in the midsole, designed to reduce body weight, mimic the natural flexibility of the foot, and provide responsive cushioning for excellent comfort.
As the name implies, the Lux Crib collection unveiled today is based on the concept of « luxurious house ». The GRANDPRO CROSSOVER and 5.ZG WING OX silhouettes are lifestyle pairs with elegant COLE HAAN signature elements. The first model has a shape reminiscent of low basketball silhouettes, while the second is reminiscent of a runner. They come in 3 tones : off-white, black and brown.
These shoes are dressed in materials and colors inspired by high quality furniture, such as the black or white leather used for the lounge items, as well as the light brown suede reminiscent of teak, a high-end wood. Both models feature COLE HAAN’s signature ‘punching’ details on the serrated overlays and perforation details on the toe box for the GrandPro Crossover. To affirm the luxurious style, brandings and co-branding are applied in gold leaf on different parts of the foot, such as the quarter panel, insole or tongue tag and the one sewn all along the tongue. An off-white Grand Foam midsole and gum rubber outsole harmoniously complete the look.
The 2 pairs of the atmos x COLE HAAN « LUX CRIB » collection will be released at different dates, in stores and online atmos-tokyo.com. The GRANDPRO CROSSOVER will be released on February 11, 2023 via a raffle open from February 6 to 10, 2023, for a price of $226 (¥29,700). The 5.ZG WING OX will be available on February 25 at a price of $318 (¥41,800) via an open raffle from February 18 to 24, 2023.
