A few days ago, Koji, the chief designer of the innovative Japanese boutique Atmos, presented us a reflective black adidas Superstar named « R-SNK » (article available HERE). To our great pleasure, the collaboration between the Japanese brand and the German giant is continuing to highlight this iconic silhouette which is blowing out its 50 candles this year. A new iteration called « G-SNK » is unveiled today.
The pair consists of a white upper covered with a snake print (as on the black iteration) that is almost invisible during the day. When it’s dark and this material is in contact with light, it shines and reveals the snake design. To enhance this Glow In Dark effect, the off-white and white colours are found on most of the other elements that make up the shoe : the emblematic adidas 3 side stripes, the rubber shell on the toe box, the tongue, the inner lining, the laces and the laceguard. Simply put, a subtle and sober touch of contrast is provided by the heel tab and the black insole. The whole is based on an off-white sole.
In addition to these shoes, a series of clothing will complete the collaborative collection between Atmos and adidas. The SNAKE design will feature the famous clover logo, which is the signature of adidas Original. The pack will include black t-shirts and shorts with a redesigned branding.
Also, graphic artist Kosuke Kawamura has created a project to celebrate the partnership. He has designed a work that will be available at A.T.A.D. and can be printed by thermocompression on a textile item.
This ATMOS x ADIDAS Superstar « G-SNK » will be available on Friday 17 July online and in Atmos stores, as well as at A.T.A.D. (where Kawamura’s custom will take place). Sizerun EU 35 to EU 47, for a price of around 115€.
