A few days after enriching the UGG@mos Animal collection with a special CA 805 v2 (article available HERE), the famous japanese shop ATMOS teams up again with a faithful collaborator, the german sportswear giant ADIDAS. The 2 partners present us an adidas Originals Forum 84 « KOBAKO » Hi and Low version.
These special Forums pay tribute to the atmosphere and music of the clubs that were popular in Japan in the 2000s. At that time, R&B, techno and house music were played on « small box boom ».
These sneakers are also inspired by the metal boxes used by DJs to carry their records. Taking this look, the Forum Hi and Low atmos feature a metallic silver upper with black accents. They appear on the side 3-Stripes, ankle area, tongue, branding details and heel clip on the Hi version and are more discreet on the Low iteration: only on the heel clip and brandings. To affirm the inspiration, the buckle of the famous tongue strap is inspired by the duralumin case lugs that carry the discs. The insole features paired atmos-adidas branding, with the adidas Trefoil logo in place of the « O » in atmos. The whole is based on a yellowed outsole that brings the final vintage touch to these special editions.
The atmos x adidas Originals Forum Low & High « Kobako » will be released on April 9, 2022 via a raffle now open on atmos-tokyo.com. Prices are set at $130 (¥16000) for the Hi version and $110 (¥13500) for the Low. Don’t sleep !
