In addition to presenting innovative collabs, like the one with the brand KEEN (article available HERE), the Japanese reference shop ATMOS reinterprets cult models. The latest one : the famous adidas ADIMATIC which is dressed in « atmos blue ».
Released in 1996, the adidas ADIMATIC was very popular in Japan. Its re-release was eagerly awaited by fans, including skateboarders and Koji, the creative director of the ATMOS team. Since this model was re-released in March 2022, the designer has posted several photos on his Instagram account to highlight this almost forgotten model. This comeback has been a great success.
The ADIMATIC now appears in an eye-catching « atmos blue » signature colorway. This version is the first bespoke of the famous adidas sneaker. It features a blue suede base with matching overlays and tongue. A nice touch of contrast is provided by thick white 3-Stripes and wide tonal laces. The skateshoe look pair benefits from a rectangular black tongue tag with white adidas retro branding details, as well as a white insole featuring the famous atmos and adidas branding combined. The white heel clip is adorned with a blue badge featuring the adidas Sport « Mountain » logo, above which the same branding is embroidered in white on the heel. A white midsole with « wavy » engravings and a durable rubber outsole finish off the design nicely.
To celebrate the launch of this special pair, atmos teamed up with artist-illustrator trio « sKetChboOok3 » to create an exclusive t-shirt. It comes in white with a playful print featuring the adidas Originals ADIMATIC « atmos blue » on the chest.
The atmos x adidas Originals ADIMATIC « atmos blue » and the atmos x sKetChboOok3 t-shirt will be released on June 11, 2022 in stores and through already open raffles on the Tokyo-based shop site : atmos-tokyo.com The ADIMACTIC atmos blue and the t-shirt are each priced at $100 (¥13200).
