The Japanese brand ASICS works hard to offer us attractive and quality pairs, both collabs and GR models. A few days after the release of the GEL-1130 reimagined by the shop NAKED Copenhagen (article available HERE), the studio Kiko Kostadinov presents an updated Asics silhouette, the UB5-S GEL-Nimbus 9.
This new sneaker appears as the follow-up model to the UB3-S GEL-NIMBUS 9 released earlier this year.
The UB5-S GEL-Nimbus 9 is inspired by ASICS’ « retro futurism » concept.
The 1st variation unveiled comes in a stylish color combination of black, silver and cream, with a touch of light blue metallic.
It consists of a breathable and durable black mesh upper paired with black, cream and silver patent leather overlays. The side windows of the grey heel counter are adorned with a beautiful purple sheen that affirms the inspiration of the model. To complete the look, the long tongue pull featuring the ASICS « a » logo and the inner lining are dressed in metallic light blue. The whole is based on a performance and comfortable black midsole with translucent blue units. The iridescent plate under the midfoot harmoniously completes the design.
The ASICS UB5-S GEL-Nimbus 9 will be released on August 19, 2022 at select retailers and on asics.com, priced at $150. Be ready !
