ASICS GEL LYTE III X MITA SNEAKERS X SHIGEYUKI MITSUI “TRICO 2020”

Five years ago, the Japanese store Mita participated in the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Asics Gel Lyte 3. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of this mythical silhouette, Shigeyuki Kunii offers us a new version of the Asics Gel Lyte 3 “Trico” named “Trico 2020”. 

The pair consists of a premium quality suede upper, red on the toe box and off-white on the rest of the shoe. There is a zipper on the tongue to close it to form a single piece. This is important to emphasize because the tongue cut in two is part of the DNA of the Gel Lyte 3.

The famous Asics stripes are red and blue on the inside panels of the model (a little wink to the “Trico” of 2015). Mita and Asics branding details are distributed throughout the shoe. The name of the Gel Lyte 3 designer, Mr Shigeyuki Mitsui, is printed on the insole. As on the “Trico 2015”, we find the mention “Far East” at the outsole icy which would be “Glow in the Dark”.
