The GEL-Lyte III continues to expand its popularity through collabs with iconic brands of the sneakers scene (several articles available on this site) and new eye-catching editions. After a « Changing of the Seasons » pack released almost a year ago, ASICS unveils the 2nd part of this collection composed of 2 new versions of the famous split tongue sneaker.
As the name of the collection indicates, the different seasons are honored on the silhouette designed by Shigeyuki Mitsui.
The 1st part of this pack included the GEL-Lyte III « Summer » and « Fall », while the 2nd part introduces the « Winter » and « Spring » colorways.
The « Winter » pair is dressed in shades of brown to symbolize the bare earth and the transition to spring when the snow has melted. The « Spring » pair is dressed in pink hues to evoke the beginning of the cherry blossom which announces the arrival of spring.
These versions consist of a perforated suede base complemented by smooth suede overlays in tone on tone. The iconic Tigers Stripes on the side and the heel tab are presented in grained leather in the darkest shade of the main color. A small circular patch on the tongue side, white laces and brightly embroidered branding details on the heel add flair to the designs. A white midsole and an outsole that matches the upper harmoniously finalize the look.
The ASICS GEL-Lyte III « Changing of Seasons Vol. 2 » pack was released on September 9, 2022 in Japan and the United States, at select retailers like Sneaker Politics, and online at asics.com, for a price of $130. This duo should arrive soon in Europe and the rest of the world, stay tuned !
