To continue celebrating the 30th anniversary of the cult Asics slit-tongue sneaker, the GEL-LYTE III, the famous Japanese brand offers us an OG « Black » iteration using Gore-Tex technology.
In addition to keeping our feet warm and dry on cold and wet winter days, this waterproof liner is also ultra light and comfortable.
The shoe consists of an upper in anthracite black mesh and deep black suede with Gore-Tex. This elegant design is complemented by light pink accents on the eyelets and teal on the two-tone rope laces inspired by hiking. To ensure total waterproofness, Asics has positioned a discreet black zip on its legendary slit tongue. In terms of branding details, Gore-Tex appears in red on the back of the heel, coupled with pink Asics, and the famous GEL-Lyte III is subtly applied on the black tone-on-tone side heel. The heel clips and midsole are adorned in matte black, while the rubber outsole brings a nice touch of contrast and audacity with its teal color and its pink and red touches.
The Asics GEL-Lyte III OG Gore-Tex « Black » will first be released on November 13, 2020 in selected shops such as AFEW, FOOTSHOP or HANON for around 150€, and will be available later on ASICS.com.
