The brand ASICS continues to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic GEL-Lyte III with new versions. Last month, an ivory iteration exclusive ATMOS dressed in the famous Okayama denim was offered. Today, this reinvented shoe surfaces in an « Azure Blue » colorway.
With this shoe, ASICS pays tribute to Japanese heritage and craftsmanship by dressing it in this special denim.
Featuring a sleek and stylish design, the 90’s inspired sneaker features a blue « used » Selvedge denim base, complemented by tonal overlays in denim or high quality leather. The « asics » and « GEL LYTE III » brandings, emblazoned on the legendary split tongue and side heel respectively, sit on thick brown leather patches, a nod to the iconic denim labels. To ensure the refined look, the laces, inner lining, heel clip and midsole are also dressed in used blue. A white insole and brown outsole matching the leather branding tags finalize the look.
The asics GEL-Lyte III OG « Azure Blue » is now available on asics.com and will be released very soon at select retailers such as AFEW, priced at 120$. Don’t sleep !
