Article to be found on:

The Japanese giant ASICS continues to honor its legendary slit tongue silhouette designed by Shigeyuki Mitsui in 1990, the GEL-Lyte III. While the versions « remastered » by Ronnie Fieg will be released in a few days, the iconic brand offers a special pack « Colored Toe ».

This new assortment includes 5 eye-catching variations : ‘Sage/Banana Cream’, ‘Sapphire/Indigo Blue’, Bakedpink/French Blue’, ‘Fawn/Salmon’ and ‘Jade/Obsidian Grey’.

While retaining their 90’s OG shape, these shoes feature a special look characterized by a toe box and a contrasting solid color toe overlay.

Made from suede and leather, they consist of a perforated suede upper complemented by smooth suede overlays. These overlays appear color matched to the upper at the toe and heel, while they opt for a neutral, light grey hue on the midfoot and eyelet area. The side panels are also neutral in color and are adorned with Tigers Stripes in bold leather. To ensure the design, the inner lining and the insole match the toe box, and the laces are tonal with the split tongue.  The whole is based on a white midsole coupled with a yellow, deep blue, navy blue, salmon pink or black rubber outsole depending on the version.

The ASICS GEL-LYTE III « Colored Toe » pack was released a few days ago in stores and selected retailers, for a price of $130 per colorway. Some versions are still available online on asics.com, let’s go !
