In addition to the latest version « B.O.I » designed in collaboration with the German shop AFEW (article available HERE), the Japanese brand ASICS unveils its famous GEL-Lyte 3 in « Hunter Green » colorway.
The iconic split-tongue sneaker is presented in a mix of classic and recycled materials. It has been revisited by the equipment manufacturer to reduce its carbon footprint through the use of leftover leather. This shoe therefore requires fewer chemicals and dyes for the tanning process.
The use of surplus materials is an eco-responsible and economical strategy implemented by several sneaker brands. It’s a wise and committed approach, which moreover, allows to elaborate beautiful exclusive and sometimes even unique models.
Sporting a bold and eye-catching look, the shoe features a green perforated suede base with white suede reinforcement on the toe, complemented by purple suede at the laceguard and heel overlays. The purple color also defines the iconic Tigers Stripes in smooth leather and the grained leather collar. To make a design statement, the pair gets yellow accents, on the TPU eyelets, inner lining and back of the heel. A two-tone white and green midsole paired with a purple outsole completes the look.
