Partners since 2013, the Italian capital’s soccer club, AS Roma, ended its partnership with Nike in July 2020 against all odds. Now working with equipment manufacturer New Balance, the club of the Louve has unveiled its official kits as well as a collaborative NB 997H « Only Roma ».
The running shoe originally launched in 1990 is dressed in the colors of the Giallorossi. Mainly deep red, it’s adorned with yellow and white accents. It consists of a mesh and suede upper, red on the forefoot and yellow on the tongue and ankle reinforcement. White inserts brighten up the look, as does the iconic N logo on the side and the upper eyelets. Harmonious design is ensured by a red inner lining and a yellow heel clip. To mark the reference to the Roman club, the AS Roma badge is emblazoned on the tongue tag and the legendary Lupetto adorns the red insole. The whole is based on a comfortable white midsole coupled with a black rubber outsole.
The AS Roma x New Balance 997H « Only Roma » is available on the Italian club’s website store.asroma.com, in adult and child sizes for 95€ and 65€ respectively.
