Renowned designer Joe Freshgoods continues his successful partnership with Equipment manufacturer New Balance. In addition to leading the eye-catching « Conversations Amongst Us » campaign (articles available on this site), the Chicago-born designer is detailing his upcoming « Inside Voices » collection.
The Late Spring 2022 « Inside Voices » capsule includes a duo of NB 9060 sneakers and an assortment of apparel.
Joe Freshgoods posted the pieces on his Instagram account and noted that the apparel collection will be released before the shoes.
The designer captioned the line as a tribute to life in a black household, « The Sights, sounds and feelings of growing up in a black household. »
The collection consists of iconic streetwear items such as a pair of sweatpants and hoodies in mottled grey or brown with « Inside Voices » branding embroidered on the side of the right leg. We also discover a crewneck with the NB oversized logo on the chest and on which a child is sitting and laces up his shoes, Joe Freshgoods’ special 9060. This garment is available in water green with black branding or black with orange branding.
The centerpiece is certainly the wool and leather varsity jacket in pastel blue and off-white. It features Joe’s initial « J » and the message « Forever Quietly Winning » on the chest. The back is embroidered with 2 children whispering in each other’s ears and surrounded by the collection name « Inside Voices ».
The capsule includes another jacket, chore-style and light brown, reminiscent of the famous Dickies Eisenhower. It features JFG branding on the chest and a turquoise circular patch on the left sleeve.
The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance « Inside Voices » Late Spring 2022 apparel collection will be released on May 17, 2022 on the designer’s website joefreshgoods.com.
