REEBOK is back on the sneaker scene with some high-end collabs. In addition to pairs designed with Maison Margiela or recently Mountain Research (articles available on this site), the legendary British brand is teaming up with Dubai-based premium streetwear label AMONGST FEW to redesign the iconic Club C 85.
Founded in Dubai in 2014 by Flo the Austrian, Mike the Anglo-Jamaican and Khalid the Emirates native, AMONGST FEW is a local streetwear brand that offers neat, classic and timeless clothing. It focuses on details and develops its own style inspired by the different cultures and influences of the founders.
Named « Magic Carpet », this Club C 85 collaborative pays tribute to oriental craftsmanship and features a luxurious design. It features a white nappa leather base with matching overlays. To add a vintage touch, the pair is adorned with yellowed elements, such as the exposed foam tongue, the midsole and the side window that usually houses the REEBOK branding. On this exclusive model, the branding appears in Arabic to affirm the link between the East and the West conveyed by this collab. The mismatched insoles, one grey and the other yellowed, are covered with a print evoking the oriental carpets. The attention to detail is symbolized by a delicate grey border under the collar, probably reflective, and by perforations at the toe box subtly taking the form of the word « FEW », in reference to the name of the Dubai brand. A comfortable off-white padded inner lining, white laces, and a « amongst few » branding inscription under the semi-translucent yellowed outsole elegantly complete the look.
The pair comes in a special box with an all-over « oriental carpet » print.

The Amongst few x Reebok Club C 85 « Magic Carpet » will be released on March 5, 2022 at 9:00am GST via a raffle already open on the Dubai-based brand’s app, amongst few at the price of 136$ (499AED) .
