The brand at the Jumpman unveiled a new Air Jordan 1 designed in partnership with Los Angeles-based stylist/model/blogger Aleali May. This upcoming project marks the third collaboration between the American giant and the influential fashion and sneakers designer. The two partners have reworked the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT silhouette.
The shoe is dressed in a combination of green and royal blue. It consists of a green leather and textile upper, complemented by blue leather overlays and a dark green heel reinforcement. A satin fabric finish is found on the collar lining and runs down to the side swoosh. To complete the look, the tongue appears in off-white, as does the Wings logo re-imagined in chenille material for the occasion. In terms of branding details, Aleali May’s signature is embossed on the left heel and her circular initial « A » adorns the middle of the tongue. The famous Nike Air is engraved on the top of the tongue and the Jumpman logo appears on the yellow insole with a red branding label. The whole is based on an off-white midsole combined with a green and yellow outsole.
To ensure the best matchings, the pair comes with 4 sets of laces in the same colors as the shoe. However, only the royal blue laces have golden metallic aglets.
The Aleali May x Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT should be released very soon, on nike.com and at selected retailers. The official date has not yet been announced but as Nike has released the photos, the date should be come soon. Stay tuned !
