To celebrate Valentine’s Day in style, the brand at the Swoosh unveiled two pairs as part of its annual pack dedicated to lovers’ day. For February 14, 2021, Nike is offering an Air Max 90 in soft, gourmet colors, as well as an Air Force 1 Low with a sober, elegant design.
The silhouette of Tinker Hatfield, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the Air Max 90, comes in a range of flagship colors for Valentine’s Day : white, pink and red. It’s composed of a white leather upper with some overlays in gourmet pink leather. Red accents, such as the side Swoosh, TPU upper eyelets and Nike Air brandings on the heel and under the ankle, complete the design. The insoles are mismatched, one red and one pink. To celebrate the lovers’ day, the eyelet perforations are heart-shaped and the red tongue branding, which opens with a snap, reveals a heart with a message of eternal love for the Air Max 90 silhouette. A white midsole with the pink Air cassette and a red outsole complete the look.
The iconic Air Force 1 Low, designed by Bruce Kilgore in 1982, is adorned with a minimalist design to celebrate Valentine’s Day in softness and elegance. It features a white base subtly accented by a vanilla cream-colored Swoosh on the side. Touches of red on the tongue label, heel branding and insole complete the look. The centerpiece is the small red heart with shiny contours sewn into the side heel. The finishing touch is a vanilla cream-colored sole. This pair can appear as a basic iteration on which a lover would have hand-stitched a small heart, in order to personalize it and then give it as a unique gift to his Valentine.
The Air Max 90 & Air Force 1 Low « Valentine’s Day » 2021 will be released a few days before Valentine’s Day, in early February 2021, at selected retailers and on nike.com. The Air Max 90 will have a suggested retail price of 150€ and the Air Force will cost approximately 120€. More release details to come, stay tuned !
