Over the years, the brand at the Jumpman has paid tribute to the University of North Carolina, where Michael Jordan studied and played basketball, through special colorways on iconic silhouettes. After the recent release of an Air Jordan 4 « University Blue » (article available HERE), Jordan Brand is preparing a new Air Jordan 6 « UNC ».
To date, no official photos have surfaced. According to the well-informed account @zsneakerheadz, this shoe takes more particularly the identity of the university sports club, the Tar Heels and has a color blocking « Carmine ». It would thus consist of a base in University blue nubuck with white leather overlays and navy blue details. A sample with black details has also been spotted, it remains to be seen what will be the final choice … To complete the look, a woven jock tag would adorn the heel and the whole would be based on a white midsole coupled with a translucent icy outsole.
The Air Jordan 6 « UNC » is expected to be released during 2022, in family sizes, at select retailers and on nike.com, for a price of 200€. More info coming soon, stay tuned !
