Jordan Brand continues to reissue iconic silhouettes for the pleasure of sneakerheads (several articles available on this site). For this spring season, it’s the turn of the famous AJ5 « Raging Bul » aka « Toro Bravo » to make its comeback.
This colorway made its debut in 2009 as part of the « Raging Bulls » pack also referred to as « Toro Bravo ». It was presented alongside the « 3M » version and both pairs were delivered in a special wooden box.
This Air Jordan 5 is one of the most popular styles in the Jumpman brand’s extensive DMP (Defining Moments Pack) initiative. This release marks its first ever reissue.
The shoe features a bright red suede upper, complemented by black accents like eyelets, inner lining, heel Jumpman and the legendary fighter jet inspired midsole. Tinker Hatfield’s design is ensured by translucent netting on the side panels and a reflective tongue. To finalize the look, the iconic number « 23 » is embroidered on the side heel and the laces appear color matched to the upper and are embellished with the clear lacelock. The whole is based on an icy outsole, which replaces the initial sole simply translucent.
As a nod to the original box, the pair comes in a classic box covered with a wood print.
The Air Jordan 5 « Raging Bull » will be released on April 10, 2021 on nike.com and selected retailers at a suggested retail price of 190$. Be ready !
