Every year, Jordan Brand prepares an apparel and sneaker collection to commemorate the QUAI 54. For the 2021 edition of the world famous Parisian streetball tournament, the Jumpman brand presented us an AJ 35 Low (article available HERE) a few days ago. The second sneaker honoring the Quai 54 2021 will be an Air Jordan 5.
The very first AJ5 « QUAI 54 » was released in 2011. To celebrate this 10th anniversary, Jordan Brand presents us with a new special edition.
This year, an iconic Jordan Brand color combination was chosen for the collection : white, black and red. Like the previously unveiled AJ 35 Low, this AJ5 is adorned with a 2021 pattern that fuses traditional African design elements with Parisian high fashion.
The sneaker consists of a white leather upper with matching overlays. This base is elevated by red accents at the eyelets and the inner side of the tongue. The upper part of the tongue appears in reflective 3M and black accents provide the look. The famous pattern is found on the black laces, inner lining and insole. The elegant and subtle styling is affirmed by the QUAI 54 logo that is revealed under the iconic translucent side netting. The same logo adorns the heel in the form of a branding label. The whole is based on a white midsole, with a heel clip and the shark teeth in black color, combined with a two-tone red and white outsole.
The Air Jordan 5 « QUAI 54 » will be released soon on nike.com and at select retailers. The rest of the collection will be revealed in stages… Stay tuned !
