Air Jordan 5 « Georgetown Hoyas » PE

Earlier this year, JORDAN BRAND announced it was working on six Air Jordan 5 PE specials in the spirit of « March Madness », the NCAA Basketball Championship pitting men’s college teams from across the United States against each other. Among them, an iteration « Georgetown Hoyas » of which detailed images have appeared on social networks.

The sneaker is rumored to be at least 40 years old and one of the rarest in the series.

It’s dressed in the colors of the team, with a predominance of soft grey and blue accents. It consists of a light grey suede upper covered with the famous Elephant Print in a very discreet style. Navy blue, another Hoyas signature color, is found on the silky tongue, Nike Air heel logo and the iconic « shark teeth » on the midsole. To complete the design, the netting panels appear translucent and the lock laces are transparent and sky blue. Georgetown’s famous « G » adorns the tongue and appears under the icy outsole. Off-white elements like the laces and midsole add the finishing touch.

The Air Jordan 5 « Georgetown Hoyas » PE was created for the members and staff of the basketball team and therefore will not see a commercial release. However, we can hope for a version that can be inspired by it…
