As the launch of the 2023 edition of the famous QUAI 54 streetball tournament approaches, official news is beginning to surface. After the detailed programming of the event and the presentation of a 1st pair from the QUAI 54 x Jordan Brand collection, a 2nd model has been unveiled.
The 2nd ‘His Airness’ signature shoe will be part of this year’s Jordan Brand x QUAI 54 capsule. This special Air Jordan 2 will also help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Paris tournament.
Like the collaborative AJ1 previously presented, this new AJ2 features white/black/red and green color blocking with a touch of yellow. It evokes the OG ‘Chicago’ colorway, as well as Pan-African colors.
The sneaker consists of a smooth, grained white leather upper, lifted by a green rear overlay hanging from a red heel tab. The red color also stands out on the contours of the midfoot overlay. To complete the look, elements appear in black : the inner lining, the tongue co-branding, the insole featuring colorful graphic motifs and the midsole. The collab is underscored by the yellow tag featuring the 2 brands’ logos sewn onto the quarter panel and the special Quai 54 ’20th anniversary’ hangtag. The whole is based on an off-white outsole with a yellow section under the heel.
The AIR JORDAN 2 LOW “QUAI 54” will be released shortly, prior to the start of the tournament on July 1-2, 2023 at the Stade Rolland Garros in Paris, at selected retailers and on nike.com. Stay tuned for the other models in this special 20th anniversary collection !
