The year 2022 will likely mark the thunderous return of the Air Jordan 2. While iconic brands like Off-White, A MA MANIERE, Union LA and Maison Chateau Rouge have unveiled their exclusive collaborative versions (articles available on this site), the Beaverton giant is working on the reintroduction of the famous « Chicago » colorway.
The 2022 Air Jordan 2 « Chicago » is expected to look like the 1986 OG version.
This legendary variation features a smooth white leather base complemented by tone-on-tone side overlays in « lizard skin » leather. The « Chicago » design is accented with contrasting red accents on the heel insert and tongue Wings logo, as well as black elements such as the outline of the overlays, inner lining and laces. Nike branding adorns the heel and the iconic His Airness number 23 appears on the inner tongue tag. The whole is based on a black midsole combined with a two-tone white and red outsole, finalizing the look harmoniously.
