The brand at the Jumpman unveils an Air Jordan 1 Low that will join the annual collection celebrating the Chinese New Year. 2021 represents the year of the ox and the elements are metal/white gold. These features are highlighted on this new Air Jordan 1 Low OG « Chinese New Year ».
This sneaker features a base inspired by the « Bred » colorway, enhanced with meticulous cultural details. Metallic gold and white colors are also available to complete the design. The shoe consists of a University red fabric upper on the toe box, side swoosh and heel. The mudguard, quartel panel and laceguard are in black fabric. All of these inserts are covered with fine embroidery paying tribute to ancestral Chinese art, including several representations of the ox, the sign of the year. In terms of brandings, Nike Air is presented in red on the black mesh tongue and the Wings logo is embroidered with gold thread on the red heel. To complete the tribute to China, a red lacing is added around the ankle collar complemented by a gold metal tips and hanging tassel. A white midsole and a red outsole add the final touch.
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG « Chinese New Year » will be released in February 2021 during the Chinese New Year celebration at selected retailers and on nike.com for a suggested retail price of 130€. It will be delivered in a special box featuring the design of the shoe.
