The Air Jordan 1 Center Court « White on White » first appeared in the famous documentary mini-series on the legendary Michael Jordan « The Last Dance » (article available HERE). Released a few days ago via a raffle, it was quickly sold out. The unlucky and new fans of the silhouette will be delighted to learn that Jordan Brand has designed an Air Jordan 1 Center Court « Stripe pack » collection, presenting this shoe with a boldly colored racing stripe.
This low version of an AJ1 is inspired by tennis shoes. Specifically, it fuses retro Jordan elements with the minimalist style typical of tennis shoes.
The pack presented today consists of 3 white iterations with a colored stripe in « University Red », « University Gold » or « Military Blue ».
The shoes consists of a white crumpled full-grain leather upper with white stitching on the back whose design inspired by the iconic Wings logo. The tongue and heel are adorned with a delicate Jordan embossed branding and the laces always appear in white to ensure the classic lifestyle look of the pair. The originality of the pack pairs lies in the brightly colored racing stripe that horizontally covers the back half of the foot. To harmonize the design, the insoles with the white « Zoom Air » print are dressed in the same color as the racing stripe. An off-white vintage sole adds the finishing touch.
The Air Jordan 1 Center Court « Stripe Pack » is expected to be released in January 2021, at selected retailers and on nike.com, for a price of 135€ per iteration. More info coming soon, stay tuned !
