The year 2022 will mark the 40th anniversary of the iconic Air Force 1 silhouette. Nike has already begun to celebrate the design of Bruce Kilgore by presenting a collab with Stüssy and a reissue of the “Independence Day” (articles available on this site). The Swoosh brand unveils today a new Mid version inspired by the city of Paris.
This Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Paris” is dressed in a color palette Pollen, Blue Void, Cashmere and Green Noise.
It consists of a cream textured leather base with Pollen yellow leather overlays. To complete the look, elements appear in dark blue, such as the iconic side Swoosh, mini-Swooshes on the strap, tongue tag and heel tab. These last 2 inserts are decorated with a harmonious green outline. The reference to the French capital is distinguished by various significant details : the pyramid-shaped perforations (of the Louvre) on the toe box, the 75 code embroidered in white on the mudguard and a metallic dubrae whose design recalls the Parisian street signs. The Air Force 1 branding applied to the insole also stands out in this form. The whole is based on a cream midsole and a pollen yellow outsole.
The Air Force 1 Mid “Paris” is expected to be released in early 2022, at selected retailers and on nike.com, for a price around 120$. For the latest official info, stay tuned !
